We want aBetterGun to be playable by as many people as possible. It is a fast, visual action game, so some barriers are built into the genre, but we work to remove the ones we can.
What we do today
- Menus, sign-in and settings work with touch, mouse and keyboard, with visible focus on desktop.
- Text in the menus is high contrast on dark glass panels, and touch targets are sized for thumbs.
- Audio volumes are adjustable in Settings.
- Graphics quality and visual effects can be turned down in Settings.
- The game uses a landscape layout on phones; a prompt asks you to rotate when you hold the phone upright.
Known limits
- The action itself needs quick reactions and sight; there is no screen-reader support for the in-run view.
- Some menu elements are drawn for touch first and may be harder to use with a screen reader.
- The game is in English only.
