Community Guidelines
Last updated: 27 October 2026
aBetterGun is a co-op shooter: you hold the line with other players against the Nihil swarm. These guidelines keep the squad a good place to be. They apply to your username, to runs, lobbies and friends lists, and to anything you send us. They are part of our Terms of Service.
Accounts, and so play, are for players aged 13 and over.
Be a good squadmate
- Stay for the run. Leaving mid-run leaves your squad a player short.
- Revive your friends, share the drops, and do not grief: blocking exits, body-blocking teammates, or wasting a team’s run on purpose can get you banned.
- There is no free-text chat, so your actions do the talking.
Usernames
Your username is the one thing about you other players see. It must not contain or suggest:
- Harassment or threats aimed at anyone;
- Hate: anything that attacks or demeans people for their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or age;
- Sexual or graphic content;
- Personal information, yours or anyone else’s: real names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses or social media handles;
- Web addresses, advertising or spam;
- Impersonation of another player, a moderator, or Fun Based Games staff;
- Anything illegal.
A name that breaks these rules may be renamed by an administrator.
Fair play
- No cheating. No bots, scripts, macros, modified game clients, or tools that play for you or show you hidden information.
- No bug abuse. If you find a bug that gives an advantage, such as a duplication or a reward exploit, report it to us instead of using it. Tampering with game state or sending fake results can get you banned.
- One person, one account. Do not make extra accounts to get around a restriction.
Reporting a problem
Use the report option on a player in the friends screen, or email contact@funbasedgames.com with the player’s username, roughly when it happened and what happened. We read every report, and the player you reported is never told it was you.
What happens when the rules are broken
Depending on how serious it is, we may warn, rename, suspend or permanently ban an account. If we have an email address for the account we will say what we did, why, and how to appeal. See section 12 of the Terms.
